Audi Repairs
> Best part of all, it didn't cost me a cent (unheard of for an Audi

Well, I have an even better story for you guys out there!
My brother purchased a used Audi 5000S Auto, this last year, not any
longer than a month after he got it he had a couple problems with it
shifting and it was starting to make a strange whining noise at about
30-40mph but would go away if slowr or faster (no not the wheel
bearing). My dad told him to bring it to the dealer, he brought it in
to Central VW/Audi in Dallas. My dad went and talked to the guy the
next day and he said "I have good news and bad news." My dad said,
well, give me the bad news first. The service man said "your
differential is bad which means you need a whole new transmission."
My dad was thinking "oh, great this guy my son bought this car from
just ripped him off big time, then came the good news "Audi had a
recall on the fluid in the trans?/diff? and they didn't change it in
time so we'll give you a new transaxle. WHAT?? A NEW TRANSAXLE FROM
AUDI FREE OF CHARGE???!!! Not hardly, they wanted to charge us
labor, my dad asked "doesn't labor get included when recalls are
done?" The mechanic stated that Audi had recently changed the rules
on recalls, parts are paid, labor isn't. Well, we didn't have $400+
laying around so my dad got on the phone with Audi of America. Not 6
hours later did he get a call from the dealer telling him the tranny
was being changed parts+labor paid, We ended up getting a new
transmission for something like $25 (hoses needed to be changed) I
think that was good service for buying a used 10 year old car and not
even purchasing it from a dealer!
Ever since I have never thought of buying a car other than an Audi.
