This could be one of 2 problems. Either you boiled your brake fluid or you
glazed the pads. It sounds like the former if the pedal went to the floor,
glazed pads is usually a hard pedal and no stopping. If everything is ok
this morning then the bubble in the brake fluid has gone and everything will
be all right again.....until the next time.
Solution - change the brake fluid. The stuff in your car has been there too
long and has absorbed water reducing its boiling point. Bleed all 4 brakes
to ensure all ofthe old stuff is out.
