OOOOwww-D wins again 2 for 2 in 96

I have a meeting to get to in a few minutes so this will be kept short. If you have any
questions, email me.

We raced in Columbus,OH on Sunday and the Audi is running better than ever. I want to
thank Gary Aliff and his son Aaron at Auto Assets for all of the work they have done to
the car this year.

The morning session included three runs for everybody in the dry. I won my class by
over 4 seconds. I had the 7th fastest time of the day out of 106 entries. This included
the formula cars and modified cars. My relative performance was the best ever. I won
the index by 0.7 seconds. The index is a handicapping system and I have never come
close to winning before.... I was very pleased.

As if my day was not good enough already, the rain started around 1pm and the grin on my
face started to grow ;-) Everybody had 3 runs in the rain and this was my first
opportunity to run in the wet with the car [not one rain event last year;-(]. I had the
overall fastest lap in the rain, beating Formula Fords, modified cars, and several
quattro wannabes (Diamond Star AWDs, and Mazda GTXs). I turned a lap of 47.9 with the
closest competitors coming from the modified cars on rain tires turning 49.5 second
laps. I was no where near the limits of the car;-). We needed a professional bookie to
take all of the bets in the pits on what my lap times would be;-)

Needless to say, it was a great weekend! To top it off, my stepson's 6th grade
basketball team won a major tournament this weekend. They won one of the games 108 to
19!!
