You probably have the 82.  I just did one on my 5kCSTQ which has a build date
of 5/86 and it was the 82.  The VINs are in the Bentley; post your VIN
and I can look it up at home.

Now, for the good news:  There are two versions of the tool, the VW version
which costs $185 or the Audi version which costs $225 (these are Techtonics
Tuning's prices).  So, you won't have to pay $280!  I got mine from
Techtonics and they got it to me in a week, even though they had to order
it from the manufacturer.

The bearing itself (with the axle nut, circlip and ball joint bolt) cost
$50 from Linda at Carlsen.
