I agree with all that Dan has written, emphatically.
You should also consider the newest BEL units, which have been rated as
highly as the Valentine, and are somewhat cheaper (although still
expensive.)
The best place to read about all this is in Car and Driver's radar
tests. Go to your library and look up radar detectors in infotrac, get
the publication date, and ask your librarian for it.
