'85 audi 5000s

The powerwindows of my '85 audi 5000s do work properly. At present, only 
one is working. can anyone tell me what "could" be the problem? I just 
bought this car and I am new to this list also. The front two windows 
apparently worked fine till couple of days back when the driver side 
window stopped working... help please...
