Are they always this mad?!

Well I think it may be the warm weather because the Audi gods are really
peeved at me.
  Aloog with the parking brake,steering pump and sunroof noises, now the hood
release cable snapped.  It broke right by the handle, and slid into the
plastic insulation.  So two questions, how do I open the hood and once I get
it open how do I replace it?  I hope the Audi gods are appeased once I get
through this little episode!  TIA for the suggestions!
