Bert,

It should have a grill below the bumper.  If you can see the alternator
pulley without having to peek through a grill, your's is missing.

Nothing, either here or in Europe.  In Europe, the outer hole (where your
turn signal is) is for a fog light.  In Europe, the parking light is white
and housed in the headlights, the turn signals are on the corner of the
fender.  FWIW, I believe VW Corrado fog lamps may fit in that spot.

I have seen large speakers in the decks of NON quattros.  I queried
Crutchfield a few years ago regarding this.  they said the gas tank is in
the way.  Not a fun thing to drill into.
