Yes and no. If I remember correctly the stock Boge's have a soft ride
section and you would lower the car past it. The other problem is you
can bottom that shaft and that gets ugly quick. Especially considering
that the strut is also used as your steering shaft...

When you lower a car you can do it the right way, or the way everybody
else does it. (Also know as the wrong way) When you lower the car you
HAVE to increase the ride rate of the car to keep the suspension from
bottoming.... The lower you go, the stiffer you have to go.... And as it
is 1.5" is too low..........
