sunroof replacement

In regards to my 1990 Audi 90 20VQ, the sunroof appears to have died. 
 Basically ... nothing happens when you touch the switch ... no sound 
... no movement ... nothing.  My mechanic checked it out and said the 
main switch is bad as is the micro-switches.  He said that I need a 
Complete Motor w/Microswitch assembly and a main switch.

Can anyone advise me on the cost-benefits of going used or new?
If a used motor is the way to go, does anyone have one laying around 
or can tell me where I can find one?  Also, the mechanic said it will 
take about 6 hours labor to replace the motor.  Is that about right?
