washer reservoir dilemma
Hello,
The w/s washer reservoir on this 1991 Audi 90 Quattro is situated in an
awkward position. It is below the radiator coolant overflow reservoir
against the driver's side above the left wheel and strut assembly. The only
part of the reservoir that is accessible is the opening in order to refill
it. I do not wish to remove the radiator coolant reservoir and various other
parts (it's quite a tangle) in order to access the washer reservoir. It
LOOKS like I can remove the left wheel and the guard in the wheel well in
order to get to the washer reservoir in order to plug the leak or remove and
replace it. However, I do not want to go to all this trouble if there are
other problems such as having to remove the strut as well.
Does anyone know a better or the proper procedures to get to the washer
reservoir without having to remove the wheel and well guard? Will I have the
problem of having to remove the suspension and/or strut in order to remove
the well guard?
Any advice and information will be greatly appreciated.
Note: I was informed that the removable and accessibility of the washer
reservoir was not included in the bentley manual for this model.
Thanks,
Joseph Huang
