my newfound coupe sedan with airbag

Maybee I smoked something wierd but I just looked at my vin # and compared it 
to what it says in the trusty old Bently.  According to what it says I own a 
1986 4dr sedan, coupe, with active restraint, 2.22L engine, made in Ingolstat.
So what gives.  Is the trusty old Bently wrong or was my car a Monday morning 
car.  
I also noticed that in late 86 they switched to the 2.3L engine.  Did that 
engine make it to the states and if it did does has anyone done any 
comaparison between the 2.22L and the 2.3L as far as real performance.
