AC Upgrades - June EC

For those tired of the old groaning NipponDenso or the GM, or the Audi $$$$
unit, etc - the 4KCSQ article in June's EC shows the custom plate and rotary
compressor that will solve all that. Betcha its the same for a 5K.  That
unit will work in an R-12 system as well as an 134a convert. A couple of
custom hoses and you'll probly take 12 pounds or more off the front end and
give yerself 5+ hp with the AC on!  I talked about this on the list 7 months
ago - now there's a solution!

The A4 tuning article was interesting. Has our College Station Q freak
checked out Nothelle yet? (Probly trying to finish up that PhD) I expect to
head down there this fall. I'm also planning on calling TAP and asking for a
tour - since I only live 90+ miles away. I'd like to see their extrude honed
manifolds, and other custom goodies. I've not heard good things about Ivor
(sorry, unnamed source w/details), but I'm willing to look and report.

Love to talk the wife into a 1.8 turbo next year (Won't buy first year
intros, ever!).
