Possible place to look is around the caliper/rotor junction or else at the
bottom
of the splash shield.  I have had cases of dirt/rocks etc. building up in
these areas
and causing a groaning/squealing.  You might have a rock in this area.

Second item to eliminate tire possibility is to rotate tires and see if you
still
hear it.

I lost track of the posts re: strange clicking noise.  My CQ has been making
similiar noise for at least a year.  It is fairly faint (still annoying) and
I can only hear it with passenger window down driving by heavy brush, fence,
wall, etc.  Sounds like a stone or something in the tire, but I can't find
anything.  I had the dealer check it and NTS they didn't find a thing.  Any
ideas?
