another 30kgs for the rampant audi's is a bit of a shock. i didn't think that it would be as much as that.
still, you should be able to be quite creative with where you put the weight. could be quite useful to even up the weight distribution (if that is a problem). the mercedes class 1 racer was *expected* to be successful, so they designed it to accomodate the ballast (from the start), and have lately taken to having a very sophisticated *movable* ballast system. the weight moves to the rear under acceleration, and to the front under braking. i'm not sure that the class 2 rules let you get away with that though...
it will take audisport some time to re-tune and re-setup the car i expect. this will give the rivals a definite edge.
i expect bmw are gloating!
