Well I'll just take that hint!
Last week Bob did a set of rotors for me with his newest pattern, and boy
do they work! this past weekend I did some instructing for the St. Louis
BMW Boys on the altered Gateway International Raceway. The track was not
it's normal 12 turn fun track... It was the ASA Stock car "Oval" (1.1
mile, 4 right turns and 1 left.) Lap times in my beast were around 57
sec. and It was pretty ugly for the brakes. To get back onto the front
straight you had to do what could be described as a U-Turn I had to get
the beast down from around 105mph to 40mph (2nd Gear!) then 3/16 of a
mile later I had to pound the car down from 90mph to 60mph and then right
away (1/8th mile) it was back onto the brakes to haul it down from 80mph
back to 60mph. Can you say tough on brakes! Anyone looking for rotors
for the stock brakes should give Bob a call.
Randall Markarian went for a ride with me and he agreed that the brakes
work pretty damn well.
Later!
