Re: How Smart is my A4Q?
Happened to me in my A4Q (Silver too) a couple of weeks ago. Drove acrossed
a large hump in Tahoe. Couldn't get cold air from the aircon for at least
15-20 minutes of driving later.
Thought either,
a) the hump damaged something or trigger a safety switch.
b) outside air was colder than internal so aircon is off (couldn't be since
it didn't happen before)
c) aircon control is too smart and decides Tahoe doesn't need aircon and help
me save fuel.
Read at lunch that the aircon will be switched off if too much load on the
engine (like weight) or/and sudden acceleration.
It came on again later. Noticed when it is off, the airflow went to max and
I couldn't engage recirculation mode manually. Tried to set to LOW did not
work. Took in to Audi to check the next day for 1000 miles service, mechanic
couldn't find anything wrong.
I believe it must be something to do with a safety switch been triggered.
Let me know if you managed to figure this out out.
Thanks and best regards.
