New 91 200 Q sedan
Greeting fellow listers!
I've finally found & purchased a 91 200 Q sedan! My Audi experience up
to this point has been with 87 & 88 5kcstq's. I still have my 87 sedan
with Ned's Stage 1 chip, H&R springs, Konis, cross drilled Brembos &
metalmasters, but with 206K I was getting kind of tired of it.
I ran across this 91 200 Q, it was immaculate and priced right so I
bought it. 63,000 miles I have some questions:
1.) Ned vs Hoppen, whose ecu upgrade should I buy & why?
2.) Suspension, I don't want the stiff ride I have in my 5K. How can I
upgrade and not destroy the silky smooth ride? I go to Lime Rock maybe
once a year to play. Any suggestions Eric? any parts for sale?
3.) How long will my internal caliper brakes last and who has parts for
them?
4.) Does anyone know of 16" wheels that will fit? I'm thinking of
running D40M2's or SP 8000's. Any other suggestions?
Likes:
*Owned by anal retentive accountant, the car is near mint- and I bought
it in Cambridge (just outside Boston!) No offense intended to any anal
retentive accountants out there!
*Very smooth and fun to drive, no vibrations at any speed. Fast and
smooth. Better acceleration out of the hole than my 5000.
*Very nice looking. HAs a presence, so even those who don't know what
it is (nearly everybody!) knows it is something.
*Color: It is gold with tan leather interior.
*BBS wheels.
*Brand new tires.
*All maint records, filed in chronological order and punched in the
corner and brass tabbed together!
*Braking is very good.
*Fulfilling a dream I've had since early in my Audi affliction.
*No leaking fluids, near as I can tell!
Dislikes:
*New tires are Eagle Ga's YUK! Are these good in the snow?
*Color-it is Identical to my 87, nobody even can tell I bought a new
car!
*Wheels hard to find for internal calipers.
*Non sport seats-Barcaloungers yuk!
Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated!
