Nick, a good plan in theory, but nigh impossible to execute...the wiring
harness is *worlds* different on the 80/90 setup, also the retaining bolts
are in a different location. Besides, given the failure rate of 80/90
switchgear, think of the investment portfolio you could accumulate in the
meantime!

Remove the ashtray and reach under the switches to pop them up and out. Much
easier than messing with complete panel R&R...

up the front left wheel., - BEARING  Could this be a wheel bearing going

Conventional racecar dynamics would dictate that if you're turning left,
you're loading up the right front bearing. But anyhow, wheel brgs make quite
a howl when they're on the way out. I didn't catch the mileage on your car,
but prolly o'er 100k. Try to isolate furthur when and how this noise
reappears.
