Lighting Mantra
US spec lights on Audi's suck, but they suck worse when dirty and/or poorly
aimed.
If you've got the bucks, get the euro lights (DE projectors are available for
some cars).
If you can't/don't want to, then Hella XL's are good aux low beams (not fogs).
These _should_ be mounted above the bumper -- drilling is involved.
Bosch "Scout" series fogs fit discreetly and securely under the 200 series
bumper.
The "CATZ MSX" fogs, as advertised in recent issues of european car, also look
interesting.
There is only one rear fog light -- unless someone has modded your car.
The "parking" lights on the US 200 models are just about useless (except for the
AudiDudi-Camaro mod).
For upgraded (read: high power) bulbs, relays are pretty much mandatory.
The Hella catalog is a good source for info (not prices) on Hella products like
lights and relays.
APS (advertised under NEUSPEED in EC) is a good source for Hella XL's and a
pre-made relay/harness (and the programmable-intermittent wiper relay).
Just trying to head off some questions that I felt were about to surface.
