I'm delighted your brother got out of this so well - and sorry to 
hear about his friend's injuries.  (My younger brother flipped a 67 
GTO "endo" when its motor blew @100 mph and locked up - went over,
bounced off front and back ends, landed on wheels with passenger door 
the only good body panel on the car - and walked away.  Luck + seat 
belt!  I know how you feel......)

But....are you sure he doesn't deserve the citation?  Not meaning to 
be cruel, but he may well have earned it.  As far as the van - why 
NOT a Q-model if they don't have bulky cargo to carry?  It is a safer 
car.
