Re: Trans recall info

I too have had a similar problem, I have a 1985 5000t, 170k. at 155k the
tranny puked, if anyone has the EXACT audi recall #, or preferably a
copy of same, I would like to see if I can at least get reimbursed for
the parts, as when the seal between the diff & trans failed, pretty much
every friction lining burnt and all needed replacing, as well as the
differential, and every bearing, bushing, etc.

(at this point any AoA employee or representative is advised to
don flameproof wear)

This secret sh!% sucks, I've owned these tempermental beasts for over
10 yrs, and am getting really sick of the BS. I'd love to have them just
say "hey, we screwed up, let's make it right" BUT NOOO..... I've been
looking at my 928s and don't remember having this many stupid problems,
at least all the windows go up and down all the time. The power steering
works reliably, and the door handles haven't fallen off.
