Given and then Taketh away!! :(

Sad news today. The Q will soon return to it's rightful, although unjust, owner
this weekend. My parents are traveling to Indiana next week (from NY), and he
wants his car back for the trip. They were going to take our MPV, but you've
all heard of it's demise. I'll likely bring back the Golf to school. Any
suggestions on ways to convince the old man to let me keep the car? What a ploy
I fell for! He gives me the car just for long enough that I get it fixed,
washed and waxed (including attempts at cleaning those pearly white wheels),
and cleaned up inside. The world is unjust. The Audi Gods although bestoying
their wonderful gift of Audihood upon mankind, can take violent turns and
unleash their rath. Even if it's through the old man.
Perhaps something else will go wrong, quite mysteriously, and I won't be able
to take the car home.. yeah.. that would work. Some key component will fail and
I'll be stuck waiting for parts. I'll run out of gas, there will be a flood, a
terrible plague... LOCUSTS! something.. to let me keep this car for the rest of
the summer and into infininty. Something cheap.. that's easy to fix, but may
require waiting for some time to get the part. HMMMM...
BTW, there is no getting him to take the golf. No A/C and No Cruise
Control.
Even if I lose the car, hopefully just for their visit to Indiana, but even
if longer.. I'll still stay on the list. You guys have been way too valuable
and enjoyable to lose. Thanks for all the advice about clean wheels and
modifications. :)
May the Audi Gods be merciful!
