Found out from the available crash books that the 93 S4 is unique unto
itself, thanks to all who offered donor 5ktq apps (gradon, Scott D)....
Seems mr TAP got involved and (get this) told Phil over the phone, that the
hex doesn't go too deep and that the split thread would serve to keep the nut
on (!!?!?!?!!).... I just about blew poor Phil out of the water with that
one.... Found my head before Eric's buzzer, and reminded mr. phil that I
insisted yesterday that HE see WHAT happened before he made that safety
call.... And if Trevor wanted to make that safety call from his office in
FL, then he and phil needed to go to a racers school.... And the fact that I
inspected that part to the utmost scrutiny, and can confidently say that the
FL assessment was Dead Wrong, Phil please discard direction, and make your
call without that input, HE didn't see it...... And in fact, if Phil didn't
either, can he make that call for himself AND his codriver..... Hmmmm.....
Do I sound pissed??
Next update 0954 CDT..... Phil found that Trevor could send a set of rear
Bilsteins Sports to Kansas, what did I think? Go for it, they are some of
the best (and I'll bet they don't split threads or need 3 sets sent to get
right).... Off to Blackhawk they go.... SUMMARY: Decision to Run
A kindly prayer from Unk Bart might be in order here.... I am concerned for
our fellow audians, encourage the more 'sperienced of our lot to get to the
track when the boys show up, sounds like Phil could use some driving tips on
the q's as well..... I am not in agreement with the WAY the safety call was
made, so be it.... Hopefully the next few track events are left handers, and
all the pieces parts stay on the car till Kansas... Hope the kneeling to the
audis gods here the last couple days convinces them not to take their wrath
out on Phil in the next couple Track events.... Good luck to Phil, thanks
to Todd for sharing the adventure..... End of Report
