As promised, information about strut braces.

Best (and cheapest) UK source is Demon Tweeks (Tel: (+44) 1978 664466

quoted do not include carriage or taxes.

Sparco polished aluminium strut brace, Part Number 03690, UKP 80.13 which
fits 80/90/coupe/Quattro up to 1987.  For ur-Quattros, it fits engine types MB,
WR but not RR.  (I know, I've tried).  They can also supply Sparco adjustable
steel braces of which there are two available: Part Number 03697 84-96 cms
adjustment price UKP 28.21,  Part Number 03698 94-106 cms adjustment price
UKP 28.21.

OMP steel strut brace Part Number MA1734 which fits later 80 models incl, I'm
told, S2s, cost UKP 38.37.
