Hi Rob,

I have an interesting similar situation with my '87 5kCSQ. It will go
from the full mark on the dipstick to the half quart down mark. In about 2k
miles, but then it just stays there until I change the oil again. I do have
some minor cam cover seepage, but I've been wondering if my engine is actually
overfull when the dipstick reads full and I'm losing the the oil out the
"breather"??!! Just a thought. At oil changes I just add oil until the dipstick
reads full, maybe next change I'll add the prescribed number of quarts/liters
and see what the dipstick reads then.

						Happy motoring,
