These will never be fast, because they have a 4-cylinder motor which
is as well suited to tractors as cars. OTOH, they seem to run
forever. My next door neighbor just sold a ('73?) sports wagon for
about $6500, but they are pretty rare. Don't expect speed, but
they're easy to work on.
If the 1800E is like the sports wagon, it accelerates like a truck, takes
two strong arms to turn, and is generally a fine example of cars of
its vintage - without the dread electrical problems of the
English-built cars of the era.
Best check your latest Hemmings Motor news and find out the goin'
price for these gems. A specialty bookstore should have Hemmings.
