... definitely a possibility.  My '78 Fox had a meltdown of the fuel pump
circuitry in the fuse box.  I think that any car prior to '84 is a candidate.

It appears that there were some major recalls on my '83 ... it looks 
nothing like any wiring diagram or figure that I have.  The good news
is that the worst thing that I found last time I was in there was that
the +12v to supply the horns had become disconnected.  Otherwise things
look pretty fresh.  I think that I will be adding discrete fuses/relays/
whatever for the headlights, fuel pump and fans fairly soon though.
