RE: Maaco, Reliable??
80% (or more) of the quality of a paint job is in preparation. Maaco
does _excellent_ painting, but they don't understand prep or masking. A
friend had her car painted at a Maaco, the most beautiful paint job I
have seen for under $1000, including on the windshield trim (not sure
how they got it to stick), the horsefly on the roof didn't have a single
run on him, and they even transformed rust into bumpy blue body! Where
the body was in good shape , the paint was beautiful, no runs, no
eggshell, no orangepeel, opaque, very well applied.
If you're willing to prep and mask it yourself, they can be quite a good
solution.
