M3 killing A4 (was A8 driving impressions)

This is why so many BMW 3 series are sold - they are rarely bought by a driving
enthusiast (who would NOT be disappointed with a 328i), but as a driving 
enthusiast I prefer not to be lumped with the pose crowd. It also helps that in New Zealand the A4 of similar spec is 15-20% cheaper!

MTM of Germany modify a 1.8 Turbo quattro to produce 286hp with 0-100km/hr
(62mph) in 4.9secs!! An M3 wouldn't even run it close. In NZ this is available
at 50% more than the bog standard car and fully covered by Audi factory
warranty - eat your heart out! (I wish I could afford one).
