Well, Yer Kindly ol' Unka Bart, reluctant as he is to question the
pronouncements of any of his audiophyliac brethern, might point out to
our new brother Jazman, that the last line contains much of what might
charitably be labled, "Personal Opinion." (And a *fine* example of the
genre, to be sure!)
On the other hand, the 951 (aka, Prosche 944 Turbo) is probably the *mo$t
expen$ive* model to maintain that Porsche produces; although some might dispute
that, given the 928s reputation for gremlin-advantaged electrics...
And $13,900 is about $2,900 too much for a good '86 951 in any event.
What about the new engine, Clutch and tranny, you ask? Hmmmmm...
You might also ask "Why" they were required at only 76K miles, and "How Much"
they cost the previous owner (if you are thinking of keeping it another, say,
76K miles...
Unless, of course, you are in the habit of *weighing* your pay (rather than
*counting* it, as we mortals are used to doing...
