Caliper Piston Tool

Linus needs a tool to turn the pistons in the brake calipers....

When I did the rears on my 1990 200, I went to my friendly hock shop
and got a beat-up large diameter socket. (And a bench grinder....)
The socket was selected specifically to match the OD of the pistons
which needed to be turned in.

Took both home, bolted down grinder, then took the socket over to the
calipers and marked the position of the notches I had to fit.

I then ground away the last 1/4" of the socket - except for two
"tits" which were matched to the size and position of the notches.
Actually, I got two sockets because I figured I'd mess one up - but
got lucky and didn't....so I have the other to use.

Rough ASCII Art:
                 __ __
                | |_____________| |
                | |
                | |

This worked very well! It took about 15 minutes to grind it down,
and it's not pretty, but it does work!

Linus - wanna borrow it?
