I cleaned up the radar detector power cable on the 5k by routing it behind 
the dash panels.  The wire still plugs into the cigarette lighter, there is 
just a short section of 2-conductor cable that emerges from the console near 
the lighter and another short section on the top of the dash for the detector.
I don't mount it on the visor.  If you did you might be able to tap power 
from the light for the visor ... or route the detector's power cable up the 
A-pillar.
