First, you are definitely not the only one in the world experiencing this.
Second, there probably was no recall dealing with these accessories.
These are "typical" Audi problems which could be something
as simple as a blown fuse or...gremlins have set up shop somewhere in a 
well-hidden area of the electrics.  Experience dictates the later...
