Minor A4 Gripes

Here's my contribution after 3 months and 4600 miles on my A4Q.

1. Voltmeter normally is just above 14V (AC on or off) but on a hot day with
AC on, just below 14V.

2. Radio and Gala on (only 3 preset points; off on 1/2 and on full).  I set
Gala on full since couldn't notice any difference on 1/2.  Notice the
sameincorrect adjustment when I slow or speed up suddenly and back to normal
speed.  Had to manually adjust to get back to correct volume.  Biggest issue
about the stereo is Audi did not compensate correctly between Radio and CD.
 CD is a couple of dB above Radio so when I switch back and forth for a few
minutes of news, ... Very irritating.  I hope Audi fix this problem.

3. Climate system.  Irritating noise when the small fan recirculate around
the sensor area.  Experienced once the AC switched off for 2 hrs after a bump
for unknown reason.

4. No strange sound from the hood except what I believe the Antilock self
test the first few seconds of movement.

5. Experience rattling on left pillar of driver over cracked roads of bumps.
 Experience squeeking sound on passenger side window but went away after a
few up/down exercise.

6. Didn't know what is Sunroof preset is all about.

7. Design defects.

a. Useless cup holders.
b. Poor quality carpets/mats.
c. Door lock/latch rubber seal.
d. Lousy brake dust that won't keep my clean wheels clean.
e. Center armrest is not correctly design and the cloth cover doesn't match
the leather, so are the set door cloth uphostery.
f.  Seats are not as comfortable as BMW.
g. Could have better tires.

8. MPG.  Around 18-20 in mixed driving, 22-24 highway (never 27-28 as
publish).  Thought Audi wasn't honest about it but read that California clean
fuel takes away a couple of MPG.

Otherwise I am happy with my A4Q.  Couldn't comment about its comparison with
the 328 since I did have a chance to drive it for 4000 miles before making a
decision.
