Yelping!

Reminded me of my lawn-mowing adventure tonight. I caught a Rabbit with
my Montgomery Ward lawn Tractor! No it wasn't the VW bunny, but the soft
furry type. I scared him out from under a tree, so I jumped off, and
caught him. He yelped too, when I picked him/her up. Kinda pathetic
little yelp if you ask me. My Son, Arie was ecstatic at the sight of this
tiny little bunny, and laughed and giggled like only 2-year-olds can.
As for parts sources, I have found that between wrecking yard parts and
the choice vendors that I have found out about on this list, the Quattro
has been a rather reasonable car to maintain. My father tends to go a
little cheap sometimes, buying wrecking yard parts when he ought to buy
new, and he has payed for it. I think he replaced his steering rack
three or four times - yechhh! I figure that if the stock clutch for
example, can last 190,000 miles, then it is a d*** good clutch, and I'll
be glad to replace it with OEM, brand new stuff.
Oh yeah, a friend of mine called me tonight, and he wants to sell his VW
2.0 litre Rabbit/Golf engine. It has a Schrick cam, and a number of other
goodies. If anyone is interested, email privately, adn I'll give you
details.
