Replacing the thermostat will go a lot easier if you remove the power
steering pump (well, don't remove it completely, just release the belt
tension, unbolt the pump, and move it to the side, with hoses attached,
so you can get better access). I suppose you could change the thermo.
without removing the p/s pump. But you might sprain your resist, break a
nail, or something....
The fan switch for that model, I believe, is at the bottom of the rad.
You'll have to remove the shroud (if it's still there, the one on my 4k
has gone missing...). Naturally, you know you'll have to drain the
coolant so you may as well flush the system at the same time. Check your
rad hoses while your at it too, as well as the heater hose. Now is the
time to replace them, because you'll be in there.
