More Questions.

Hello to all!
A few weeks ago I asked for (and got - thank you Jeffrey, Robert, James &
Mitch) the collective oppinion on an '89 200 Q and passed on it. Too much
money, too many problems, too many questions. Well, two days ago my
parents got a new A6 Q and the bug has gotten worse.
The Scirocco 16V must go and I've got to have another Quattro. The new car
is Audi #6 for us (a 4000csQ in the list), so I do know the cars. My
questions are the following:
-A local lot has an 86 4000csQ (red, black leather) and the owner
says I could have it as-is for $3500. The A/C is kaput, it needs at least
one wheel bearing, and the control arm bushings feel shot. It also has a
prob with the oil pressure light. It goes on, but the guage shows normal
readings. I'd have to do a bit of work on it to get it right, but I don't
think it's a bad car. I'd tell you how many miles are on it, but it shows
55K, and I know that can't be right. You guessed it - odo also kaput. What
are your feelings on this?
_ The other option is to wait for the "perfect car", which may be a
90 Q 20V or Coupe 20V. Just how rare are these beasts and are there any
probs with them I might want to know about?

I know that there's no such thing as a "perfect" used car, but I will wait
for the most reasonably clean and sound car. I guess I just need to know
what to check for.
Thanks for the past help and also for the future!
