If you had solid rotors before and you didn't need to change the caliper
when switching to the vented rotors, then you probably still have a
9.4" rotor. It's a good braking system, but you can do one better
by going to the 10.1" vented fronts, by switching to the Scirocco 16V
front rotors and calipers. It's a direct bolt-on, and a tremendous
improvement. However, here again, the conversion means 4x100mm
wheel bolts. If that's what your car has then it's a no brainer.
If you have 4x108mm then things get a little more complicated. I think
a 10.1" rotor is available with 4x108mm holes but it will be a lot
less common than the 4x100mm version (some Audi 4000s came from the
factory with 10.1" vented front discs with 4x108mm pattern).
