Overboosting

I think I have a problem with overboosting on my Ur quattro.  I understand that
this is caused by a build up of carbon inside the exhaust manifold which blocks
the small hole into the pipe from the wategate to the manifold.  

Does anyone know if there is anything (acid?) which can be poured down the pipe
and would eat through the carbon and clear the hole?
