pbr (repco) deluxe--bedding them in?

not exactly audi-content, but i know some of you have mentioned using these
pads before.  btw, these are the organic pads, not the metal-masters, and
run $30 for this car.

i'm putting a set of these on my folk's '92 jetta gl.  any particular
bedding-in process for these pads?  these are going on the car along with
new rotors (ate solid rotors, $18 each).  it's my mom's car--it doesn't see
a lot of hard use (unless my brother finagles it for a drive).  

one other comment:  the box has a warning that these pads contain
asbestos--i thought asbestos was being removed from all brake materials
nowadays.  huh?

oblig q-car content:  why aren't pads & rotors for my 200q so inexpensive?
