you were wondering if a mountain bike would fit standing up in a wagon --

It depends on the wagon and what configuration you leave it in.  The flat deck
in the 5000/200 series actually folds up to provide access to the spare.  I have
seen a euro wagon with a lowered floor in the rear portion.  This gives about
six inches additional space.  There shouldn't be a problem standing it up in
there.

The lowered floor looked factory, but didn't look anything like my flat deck.
If it was custom, then it was very well done.  Carpet matched and fit, no odd
corners, etc.  The flat portion of the deck in my car is held in by four easily
accessible bolts.  I put my CD changer under there, so there's no way I'll mod
mine.
