I have an 87 4kcsq, and have not noticed this "feature", but I will watch in
the future.  I don't think I'd worry heavily about it.

Is this a typo, or is your car somewhat modified?  If so, I'd like to ask a
few questions about your installation, if I could.  Is your car intercooled?
Do you retain A/C?  Power steering/brakes?  What boost do you run?  

I've considered this install, but am still gathering data.  Thanks!
