Re: Doctor Doctor, Give me the news!

Thermostat? But that would not splain why the ac has stopped. Could
     be separate problem.

Okay, here are the symptoms for a 91 200t with about 75,000 miles:

 - Coolant warning light comes on after 10-15 minutes of driving -
Coolant level is fine
 - Cooling fan comes on when temp gauge is about 1/8 of the way hot,
much lower than usual. (1/3-2/3 is normal?)
 - Temp gauge indicates running unusually cool, does not reach normal
operating temp.
 - Oil temp indicates oil is hotter than it normally is.
 - Car does not seem to be loosing/burning coolant
 - A/C stopped working the same day the coolant warning light started
coming on.
 - When A/C is turned on, there is no power reduction or compressor
sound like is usually present, as if the A/C isn't really turned on.
The blower fans works just fine.
 - All visible belts seem to be tight.
 - Everything seemed fine on the way to work. Everything happened on
the way home.

Any ideas? How much money am I going to owe the Audi gods for this one?
The beeping and flashing of the coolant light is driving me nuts.
