Darin's Comments re Eric

You know what Darin, everybody on the list is entitled to say anything they 
want that is Audi related.  I have spoken with Eric on the phone and 
contacted him through e-mail several times.  He is by far one of the most, 
if not the most, knowledgeable persons on the list.  Have you designed 
suspension upgrades for Audis?  Have you raced Audis in a non-QCUSA, SCCA, 
etc. setting?  I did not think so.  His infrequent tirades are more than 
made up for by his contribution to the list.

While Eric may be haughty and rude sometimes, he is nonetheless a legitimate 
asset.  Many of us, including myself, have been arrogant and stupid on the 
list, but who really cares?  The levity is usually welcomed and most do get 
a good laugh from it.

I guess the only people who do care enough to write are those that have 
their employers (designed their web site?) disparaged on the list.  You 
should really find a more subtle way to ADVERTISE than the method employed 
in your post.  If you do not know anything about TAP, then why did you do 
their web site?  Maybe their money was so green that you did not care.

The main point here is that Eric has as much of a right to comment about TAP 
as those who plug their products.  After all, while we do drive German cars, 
this is still a (relatively) free world....
