When in fog mode, you should notice that the left lense on the trunk lid, (
not the lense which is on the left side of the body which is your driving
and signal light), should shine brightly as if you hit the brakes. There is
no fog light on the right side. I would check the bulb or the connections
if this does not occur. To do so, from the trunk, remove the black cover
(first a screw and then compress the black cover and pulling it out slowly,
a section at a time) and look at the bulb that is on the left side of the
assembly and furthest away from you when the trunk is fully open. The other
is the white backup light. The light socket twists to remove and you can
check the bulb, the contacts and the connecting wires for corrosion. Clean
it up or replace the bulb; it should work without re-installing it in the
light assembly as ground is one of the terminals. Once it works out of the
assembly, reinstall.
