Paul,

Here are some more details on the engine knocking warning on my '85 5000T.

The car is 100% stock, no mods at all. The car feels fine when the light
comes on except the Turbo is clear out as indicated. So I guess it pretty
much feels as the 5000S it becomes with the wastegate open. The punch is
gone but it runs file. No Check Engine stuff. The gas is fine, no swapping.
Fuel filter is a couple of years old. The problem is pretty constant now.
Initially it would only happen on a cold or rainy day but when the problem
set in, it would persist for the remainder of the drive. Again now it is
constant. Martin Slotterback suggested that it might be the temperature
sensor on the intercooler air intake which I plan to check. Any other
thoughts?

Thanks for your help, Bo.
