Regarding my problem, I got the damaged exhaust pipe welded back up for 
$ 25 + $ 5 for gasket by a place A-A Exhaust in Hamilton.  The guy 
did a very good job.   Their price for an aftermarket exhaust for my
car is only $ 265.  What a far cry from the first exhaust shop
that I went to, Zoro Exhaust, which asked for $ 675.
Obviously whoever is looking for an exhaust 
shop in Ontario should avoid Zoro.
