In my case, you bet! Dealer was going nuts after various snake oil 
remedies... I finally took Al Powell's advise. Lifter noise gone, gone,
gone (over 5000 miles gone). And an unexpected plus. Slight increase in
gas mileage. I keep veddy accurate records (the IRS hates me) because
of several vehicles in the business... and a definite increase of .8 
MPG. Nada significant in the pocketbook, but more MPG less friction, less 
friction less heat... and round and round we go like Unka Bart's 
snake chasing the cook chasing the snake....
