New Trunk Struts

Hey Folks,

  I need to replace those old trunk stays so that I no longer need to stick
a piece of wood in there to hold the trunk up whilst I put groceries, etc.
in and out. I have tried to pull the seat cushion out, which all the
manuals say should just lift up and out. Of course, that doesn't seem to be
the case. Are there any latches or hooks securing the seat cushion in place
that I am not aware of?
